Scott Berg

Scott is a lifelong boater with five decades of experience on a range of vessels from el Toro prams to a 135’ Baltic Trader. For many years he operated CHARDONNAY BOATWORKS, a full service marine repair company, from a series of cruising sailboats (all named CHARDONNAY).

He is an ABYC Certified Master Technician, Electrical Technician, EPA Licensed HVAC Tech, and holds an Amateur Extra Class ham license.

Scott has served on the SSCA board from 2009 and was SSCA President in 2014 and 2015. Scott has served on many non-profit boards (including the National & Capital Yacht Clubs, Shakespeare Theater Company) and his extensive sailing experience and education (including USCG Captains’ Classes, ASTA Classes, ABYC Certifications in Electrical Systems, HVAC) help equip him to well serve SSCA.
