ADVOCACY FUND

Thanks to all those who have contributed to this effort in the past, SSCA has been able to work with a coalition of three other boating organizations to help insure that state and local governments do not infringe on our ability to cruise in over 30 states that navigable waterways.  This coalition includes America's Great Loop Cruisers Association, the Marine Trawler Owners Association and the DeFever Cruisers. We conduct an annual fund drive since this effort is never ending and the one time we tried doing that proved disastrous because legislation we had been fighting for years slipped through unopposed.

This year’s campaign goal for SSCA is $8,000. These donations typically come from a small fraction of our membership, so please consider donating to this year’s annual fund. 

In addition to funds, we also need volunteers.  A recent incident in St Petersburg Florida was successfully overcome because of a volunteer who stood up for their rights and another who took it on legally.  Your willingness to alert us to issues and help resolve them is invaluable.
