About this event
The Boater’s Rights Advocacy Coalition Committee chairs and our lobbyist hosting an educational session on anchoring and waterway access rights including the history, progress made, current legislative updates, and how members can participate in the process.
Comprised of representatives from America's Great Loop Cruiser's Association, DeFever Cruisers, MTOA, Seven Seas Cruiser's Association, the Boater’s Rights Advocacy Coalition works together to defend and protect members rights for anchoring and waterway access. The Coalition works to support cruiser’s interests through constant monitoring of potential legislative threats, pro-active meetings with legislators in key areas, pro-active responses to public comment opportunities when applicable, coordinating member efforts for communication campaigns, and management of member donations to fund lobbyist support to assure a voice and a seat at the table.
This webinar should be especially interesting to members who want to learn more about the background of how we got here, the big picture of current anchoring limited areas and other legislative programs that affect anchoring areas and access, and what we see on the horizon for 2024.
The event will feature an opportunity to ask questions of the Boater’s Rights Advocacy Committee representatives as well as our lobbyist, Ro Catalano, of Anfield Consulting. As this is a group effort, members of coalition organizations will also be invited to participate.
