M802 here, with antenna tuner and insulated backstay antenna, using a KISS counterpoise.

Works like a charm !

Some have commented that they cannot find this thread....so, I just thought I'd bump this up...

And, since I cannot use IE on this site anymore (cannot log in), I'm not sure how much longer I, and others, will be around...
So, fair winds to all!!

My boat has a 3" copper strap running from stern to bow. On either end, ground wire is attached. On the stern end to the backstay chainplate, and on the bow end, to the bow roller. My thruhulls are grounded to this strap.
Can I use this strap as my counterpoise for my m802?
Cheers,
Hugo

Sorry about the long absence....it seems that the SSCA IT team finally got the system here working okay, so I can now log in!!
(fyi, this is why I've not been around here in a long while...heck, I even had to give up my SSCA membership, because I could no longer log-in to the SSCA site, read meeting minutes, etc....but, to be honest they've got a ways to go to get me back...)

fair winds...
