How can one add a signature, errors encountered

by SailRN » Fri Dec 19, 2014 12:38 pm

Hello,
I'm trying to add a signature with my name, call sign, and boat. When I start I see that 255 characters are allowed but any amount of characters more than 0 result in an error message of maximum 0 characters allowed. I see many other users with signatures so I'm asking how did you get them to work?

Thank you,
Craig

Hi Craig,

I can help you - let me know what signature you would like and I'll put it in. Then we'll see if you can edit it.

I can't explain why the signature isn't working on your account. We'll figure it out.

Hi Dave, thanks for your offer of help. I just found this site. This looks like a great site.

Here's my signature request:

Craig AE6E
S/V Savor Grace
SeaRunner 37 trimaran cutter

Craig

P.S. I see a section for power boating in the main index, but not one for sailing...or maybe I haven't found it yet.

We're a little quiet here but there are lot of talents floating around.

I added your signature. I don't see why you weren't able to do it yourself. I'll keep poking at it. You might try editing it and see if you are able to do that.

SSCA was once entirely about sailing. As we opened our arms to all cruisers independent of mode of propulsion we added the power section to the Forum index as an expression of welcome.

What is the biggest difference between power cruisers and most sail cruisers? Most sail cruisers only motor 90% of the time. *grin*

Best of the season to you also.

Same thing happened to me. I got "The field “Signature” is too long, a maximum of 0 characters is allowed."

This is what I was trying to enter

It appears signatures are still broken.

I'm encountering the same issue reported this time last year. [Zero characters allowed.]

My preferred signature is:

SV Denali Rose

Thanks in advance for your help.

At your convenience.

Bill, not sure why this problem has reared its head again, but I've added your signature.
