Mount Desert Island Maine to Yarmouth Nova Scotia

by rogerf » Wed Aug 09, 2017 7:57 am

We are approaching our next leg of the trip, to depart SW Harbor on MDI in Maine bound for Yarmouth Nova Scotia. We have read up on the couple of cruising guides we could find and have an itinerary for once we arrive to the south shore up through Halifax area. However, we are looking for suggestions from anyone that has made this trip for timing of the Bay of Fundy tides. From what we have heard, most folks with a boat like ours (we have a 39' hunter) leave in the afternoon so as to arrive in the Yarmouth area in the morning hours (overnight cruise will be a first for us!). Any thoughts or suggesting would be greatly appreciated!
