The Salty Dawg Sailing Association (SDSA) invites SSCA members to join them for their upcoming 2019 rallies. Hosting blue water rallies in the US and Caribbean is one of SDSA’s specialties. Each rally is an opportunity for sailors to cruise-in-company with the safety, camaraderie, and passage-preparation assistance that a rally can provide while allowing participants to meet new friends and re-connect with old ones. SDSA unites experienced ocean sailors with developing cruisers to broaden their blue water horizons. All Salty Dawg rallies and events are led by seasoned sailors who volunteer their time and knowledge to help cruisers realize their dreams … safely. Spring Rally from the US Virgin Islands to Hampton, VA-May 2019
Participants will depart the Virgin Islands on May 4th from Crown Bay Marina, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, heading to Blue Water Yachting Center in Hampton, VA (or other ports on the US east coast) or to Bermuda. Pre-departure activities begin on May 1st.
Rally to Maine-July 2019
Participants can join the Rally to Maine from two Chesapeake Bay departure points: Annapolis, MD and Indian Creek Yacht and Country Club on Indian Creek. Captains’ Briefings will be held at both locations on July 5th with departure on July 7th.
Rally to Nova Scotia-August 2019
Participants will depart the Rockland Yacht Club in Rockland, ME on August 4th for Shelburne, Nova Scotia after a Captain’s Briefing on August 3rd.
Fall Rally to the Caribbean-November 2019
Participants will depart Hampton, VA on November 2nd for one of three destinations: Antigua, British Virgin Islands or the Bahamas. Pre-departure events start on October 26th.
