John and Julie Rahm
Captain John is an American Sailing Association (ASA) sailing instructor, private instructor aboard owner boats, charter captain, and speaker. Over the past five years, he has instructed over 350 sailors in various ASA sailing courses. He is a 50-ton master with sailing and towing endorsements. Capt. John is also a retired naval aviator and has served 26 years in the United States Marine Corps flying AV-8B Harriers and FA-18 Hornets.
John and his wife Julie cruise aboard the “Island Chariot”, an Island Packet 485. Capt. John and the “Chariot” were winners in 2012 Bermuda Ocean Race. John and Julie reside in Oriental, the sailing capital of North Carolina. On good weather days you can find them sailing the Neuse River and Pamlico Sound.
